Safeguarding

How FLEX approaches safeguarding — and who is responsible for what.

Last updated 17 September 2026

FLEX Pro introduces Studios and Professionals. Safeguarding in the studio remains a shared responsibility, and we're clear about where it sits.

Who is responsible

Studios and Professionals remain responsible for their own DBS checks, insurance, right-to-work checks, risk assessments and safeguarding arrangements. FLEX does not supervise engagements and is not responsible for conduct during them. Studios should carry out their own checks before inviting a Professional into their space.

What FLEX does

  • Reviews first profiles before publication against marketplace rules.
  • Displays trust signals honestly — "profile reviewed", "identity checked", and DBS/insurance status labelled as self-declared or checked. A FLEX Reviewed badge never implies a guarantee of teaching quality.
  • Does not publish home addresses, personal evidence documents, dates of birth or private phone numbers.
  • Applies stricter review to any content featuring under-18s, which requires appropriate permissions.

Reporting a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about a profile or an interaction, contact us immediately via contact. We operate reporting, suspension and complaints processes and will act promptly. In an emergency, always contact the relevant emergency services first.

Data protection

Trust evidence is handled securely and privately — see our privacy policy.
